Ali Zafar looks through Katrina Kaif

It seems Pakistan's pop icon Ali Zafar, who is now in Mumbai to pursue a career in movies, has a lot of catching up to do on the who's who of the film industry. Last week at a party, he failed to recognize Katrina Kaif although she is his co-star in the Yash Raj film that Ali has signed.

Last week Katrina spotted Ali whom she had seen and liked in Tere Bin Laden at a party. Knowing they were scheduled to work together Katrina enthusiastically approached Ali…only to be greeted with a polite but bank smile.

JK Rowling donates $15.4m for Multiple Sclerosis center

LONDON: Author J.K. Rowling has given $15.4 million to set up a center to research multiple sclerosis, the disease that killed her mother.

The creator of boy wizard Harry Potter said Tuesday that the Anne Rowling Regenerative Neurology Clinic, named after her mother, will be based at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. It will also study other degenerative neurological conditions, including Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease.

Salman, Katrina to do item number

They pizza they made is over 1000 meters in length. The record has not yet been confirmed by the Guinness Book of World Records. It may be long, but it doesn't look very appetizing.

Brazilian teen Elisany Silva is the tallest teenager in the world

BRASILIA: Elisany Silva, who lives in Brazil, is the tallest teenager in the world. At only fourteen years of age, the young girl stands six feet and nine inches tall, head and shoulders above her friends, and even most adults.

Silva is so tall, in fact, that she cannot walk into the front door of her own home without ducking. She often gets distracted and hits her head on the wood beams in the ceiling of her house, and had to stop going to school to study, and has to do so at home because she could no longer fit on the bus and sit properly.

A doctor feels that Silva may have a disease known as “Giantismo” in which she would grow far faster than normal. This disease could cause serious problems and even death.

President Asif Ali Zardari takes notice of spot-fixing allegations

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari Sunday, taking notice on news reports of spot-fixing allegations being leveled against Pakistani cricketers, sought a report on the issue.

The President awoke to the issue and ordered submission of a detailed report in this regard after a British scribe broke a news report of spot-fixing by Pakistani cricketers.
